SUPPLY CHAIN RELIABILITY AMID COVID-19 OUTBREAK
We understand that you may be concerned about the public health crisis related to the COVID-19 virus and its potential impact on our supply chain. The rapid changes and news around the virus can be discomforting. We understand that this is having a significant impact on supply chains everywhere and causing hardship for everyone. Our primary concern is the health and safety of our teams.
Ruprecht’s leadership is carefully monitoring the detection and spread of the virus and listening to advice and directives coming from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), https://www.who.int/ and http://www.dph.illinois.gov/.
We are meeting regularly to prepare for potential impacts on how we deliver our services.
A few things to note:
AWARE
We are training and creating heightened awareness: We are training our plant and office teams to maximize precaution and limit the impact on our work in serving you.
INFORMED
We are making informed decisions: Our teams will continue to follow developments and adjust our work plans to minimize risks for team members, suppliers and customer partners.
ENGAGED
We are engaging with our peers. Our teams are reaching out to others to learn what steps our peers are taking to limit disruption to the businesses while protecting community health. We’re also in contact with USDA to keep tabs on any updates and pass them along to you.
As you already know, it is extremely difficult to develop an actionable contingency plan with any level of precision for a developing event that has unknown consequences, but the potential to impact the entire global economy. We are working with our suppliers to avoid interruption to our operations.
Most suppliers have communicated to us their evaluation of the impact to their business from the COVID-19. At this time they do not believe that the public health crisis from the COVID-19 will impact their ability to supply to Ruprecht. However, as the impact on global economies from the COVID-19 outbreak is extremely fluid, we will continue to monitor the situation with our suppliers and communicate any changes or potential disruptions in our supply chain that might affect our ability to deliver products to our customers in a timely manner.
Thank you for your support and patience as we continue to navigate this evolving situation.
Please let us know if there are any other questions.
Regards,
Amrita Pathania
